Fantasy Island

Geography isn’t just about finding your way. It’s the jumping off point for dreams and imagination.  If you’ve
got geography, you're ready for adventure
.....
.
Core Topics
  • Five Themes of Geography
  • Types of Maps
  • Key Map Terms
Students have completed their Fantasy Island project after our study of geography and the 5 themes of geography. We went through a process of creating a physical map which included our learning. Academic vocabulary terms were included on the map. Finally, we wrote a description of our island which included the five themes of geography: Place, Location, Human Environment- Interaction, Movement and Regions. We met in small groups to brainstorm, revise, edit and inspire!

We became cartographers of our own Fantasy Island.

Harvest Party Fun!

Our classroom won the Scholls Height Mighty Knight for outstanding assembly behavior for this month. We listened attentively and were respectful to the speakers. We also participated by singing and applauding at appropriate times. This award looks quite impressive sitting on our shelf. We also had a great time walking the parade route, celebrating in our costumes and dancing to Thriller. A well deserved break from working hard everyday. Thank you volunteers!
