Let's Hit the Road!

We are hitting the road with Amelia! Our class read the book, Amelia Hits the Road by Marissa Moss. This notebook style book is about a ten-year-old named Amelia who keeps a journal of a summer car trip she takes with her mother and sister to Grand Canyon, Death Valley, and their California home town to visit Amelia's best friend. Blending humor with the experience of being on a road trip with an annoying sister kept us smiling.

We read in teams and filled out s Story Flow Chart .

We are about to hit the road and learn about National Parks and historic sites. Our table groups will travel together and learn along the way. We created team signs with our team names. We are now ready for adventure!
